Canvas workshop date

Hi crafty folks, so did you see the snow today... I only noticed when I went to the door... ( as I am in a world of my own here and don't know if its sun or shine - night or day outside!!

Anyway.. I have a date for the mixed media canvas workshop.

£25 for the full day 10-30 - 4

Distress tag workshop... here is (at last) the photograph of Sues distress workshop project. Sue is keeping the tags separately from the book for future reference, and is using the book  as a scrapbook!

Now on to this weeks card, this is the original idea sample....

 

 

 

Trudy changed the size to a larger card and changed the colours to cream...I was blown away with it!

 ....this is to be a civil ceremony card.... it is stunning "in the flesh" and better I think than anything you could buy!

Time to myself!

You know when you need time to be by yourself? well I am having some crafty play time here at Bessell Lane...

What a lovely surprise today...Two new ladies came to the Wednesday morning  card making group - Sheila & Sheila.... Take a look at what they made!!!

What do you think...aren't they beautiful! well done to both of you!!

 

 

 I have used the Justrite filigree corners dies and a selection of die cut and punched leaves and flourishes. finished with cream pearls.
This really was quite an advanced card to make with many techniques used- again, well done!!

Well.. I've been tidying my stamps this afternoon....
I didn't realise how many stamps I had got!!! Shocking isn't it!!

 

 

Feel free to Send me photos of your stamp collection storage ideas (not the postage stamp philatelist ones.)!!! ha ha

 

 - I need to store them better than this... although I do need easy access and for them to be on display for the classes??!!

Anyway off for a cup of tea and a chocolate  biscuit.

What a lovely day!

What a lovely full day  workshop we had on Saturday- the day whizzed by so fast! I met some lovely new ladies, and learnt a new technique myself (thanks Ann)!
That's one of the  great things about crafting-there is always something new to learn!!

I forgot to take photos of the other books that were made , but will try to get them... as they are fab!

here is mine....

 

 

Now onto a few cards we have made over the last couple of weeks....

 

 This card is made by Pat, the stamp is Justrite French rose stamp,coloured with copics!

This is Jennifer's version- very subtle pink distress inking around the edge and lovely pink copic shading!

Look at this beautiful card made by Jacqueline.. the inside has some very touching journaling...beautiful.

 

Here is one of the many masculine cards we have done  lately...the stamps I have used are Justrite- Explore, vintage labels four. An invaluable set for the chaps cards.

Justrite- the journey... and some old Tim Holtz acrylic mini set ..(cant remember the name).

I love the scrabble piece in this card.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Finally for now...  more details for the workshop date for the

mixed media canvas.

Two dates to choose from- either Sat 8th February or Saturday 1st March.

10.30- 4.00

£25 for the full day

 I am planning to do a mixed media canvas workshop very soon......

Would you be kind enough to share your thoughts on which style you prefer?  

Collage style or the hand drawn girl?

Mixed media canvas workshop - full day.

  

 

The girls and flower on These canvas's are  drawn by me by hand....yes you could do it...I promise I CANNOT Draw!!!!

This Would be totally unique to you!

 

 

The two below are "collage style" a little easier to do!

 

 

 So..... any thoughts?

New years resolutions?

 

So what are your new years resolutions?

Mine are:

1. To spend more time being creative for me.

 

2. Not to eat so  much (cut down the portions)- eyes bigger than my belly syndrome! - That is such a silly saying - just imagine if our eyes were the size of our belly's- what a sight...did you visualise that too??? ha ha

 

3. Do at least Some exercise.

So far this is working- week one going ok so far...how about you??
