Hi chaps, well its chucking it down outside-but here in my crafty place its toasty warm!
a very quick post to share some upcoming class cards: made with the scrummy (an well priced)fabulous October afternoon  papers from
www.peartreeyard.co.uk  Please don't buy them all though ... I NEED more!!

OMG I love this paper!!

This is one of my favourite cards recently, not made in class, sort of homework! :; made by Jenny, really simple but very pretty! Well done Jenny. x

This is Trudy's version of a the penny black Christmas lady from last week.

Here we have  a card made with the JOFY stamps, from Glenis... made with a background she had made herself in a mixed media class at Artworks. You cant see the glimmer in this one but it is from the cosmic shimmer paints..(mmm must get them out for a play)

And finally for now a quick look at the new Anna Griffin large die cuts shapes...they cut like butter! these really are the easiest die to cut  I've found so far!!

Take care for now... have a good week.

Share the love for nesties!

Good morning crafty friends, this post is to share some photographs from Jacqueline who loves to make large cards that are really crisp and use lots of lovely die cuts and, they always are great results.

Well... its now 6.30 in the evening and I've come back to the computer to re try to blog these photographs... I am afraid they will have to be wonky because although I have edited them and they  straight on my screen, they show up wonky! so I cannot really spend any more time trying to straighten them! Aghhhh!
So sorry if your neck aches, ha ha .

One of this weeks cards....

Here we have a beautiful version of this weeks card done by Jennifer, delicious don't you think!?

Sorry (again)

Hello my lovely crafty friends, I don't know about you but cant believe where the time goes- its October already! I still can't say the "C" word yet!
I am sorry (Again ) that I don't blog as often as I would like, it is really time consuming, especially when there are gremlins on the computer that wont let me delete photos...really infuriating!
So.. on to the photographs to share with you all.

Firstly last week we had the very talented (and patient) Pat showing us how to make bauble beaded bauble decorations.  Jo, Jennifer and Sue made a good start on their baubles- I confess I struggled a bit with my eyes... they took the baubles home to work on and will bring back to finish... Thanks Pat, you are a very talented lady!

Here is Sue's bauble...  in process... ill take a photo when it is finished.

Here is Jo's very pretty in pink bauble in the making!

Here we have some photos of cards and tags made in class.x
This is from Glenis using the just rite stamp.

Finally Glenis using her favourite colour .. this was designed originally as a sympathy card.... but if you  just
change the colour and voilà a completely different card!

Gremlin

Here a card from Jennie, going "freestyle"
Here Jo has used distress inks to shabby chic the backing- lovely! We have also used my new favourite product... micro beads!

Here Jo has made one heck of a tag...this unique tag is far  too nice to go on a card.

Monday, 16 September 2013

Well, it seems like the summer has gone, I am back to woolly tights and 3 layers at the moment- but I think its been a fab summer so I cant complain!  here's to the next one!!!

Well we had a lovely day at the craft group at Bessell Lane, Dorothy came in to see us all with her lovely hubby David, and Pats hubby and a couple of other friends popped in too- (Marion and Sue)
It was a lovely chatty session and I for one had a thoroughly enjoyable morning. Thank you all.

Now onto some photographs of what we have been up to:

The first photograph is what I have made today for one of this weeks class especially inky for Dorothy - using my new favourite distress ink colour- peacock feathers from Pear tree yard.

Thanks Glenis that is your fault, showing me nice new things!! mind you at least it isn't purple!!

I am struggling with my new computer at the moment- it wont do what I tell it to with my photographs- so I can only put these few on...argh

This first one is using good old distress inks with a white embossing resist technique. instead of card to stamp onto I have used vellum- quite a pretty result. I have coloured onto the back of the vellum to give a softer effect!

I have also used Ranger perfect pearls go give a golden shimmer..it looks much better in the flesh as it were!

Now this next beauty is very much inspired by Becca feakin- check her out she is a designer for spellbinders. She is awesome- this is Jenny's version of the card- yummy!
This took everyone the full 2 hours to make but it is exquisite!

This a card from Glenis who has done a lovely technique on the cats body to give it a proper tabby tummy! ahh!

This is Glenis again- a clean and simple one for her using a Paul texting- this is a digi stamp, lovely and crisp.

This is what happens when I get a rare day to make samples...Ohh what a mess!!
Sorry Jacqueline-  "tidying up as I go "hasn't worked today!

Best go and get ready for classes this week- a cuppa deserved I think? and I have a sneaky packet of hob nobs somewhere!
See you soon.
